Removal and Installation of 2x Lifts in Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones

Description of the goods or services required

The Two existing lifts need to be completely stripped out of Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones and reinstated with new lifts of the same/similar specification (Detailed Below).

The work is to be done during summer holidays However both lifts can be removed prior subject to agreement with School

Minimum standards and qualification required

LEIA Guidelines

All relevant Regulations, Standards, Directives, Guidelines and Codes of Practice LOLER 1998 & proposed revision to LOLER

Current good practice

All personnel employed on this contract shall be experienced, trained and competent.

Contractors shall be members of the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) or equivalent trade and regulatory body.

Operatives should be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in respect of Servicing Platform Lifts.

All operatives shall have received general health and safety training and specific training with respect to:

Risk assessment, asbestos awareness, working at height, Working in confined spaces.

The prospective contractor shall, upon request, provide any proof of competence as required by the client.
