Abstract

Maesdu Road in Llandudno links the A470 Conway Road and the A546 Maesdu Avenue, it provides access to Ysgol John Bright (Secondary School), Ysgol Morfa Rhianedd (Primary School), Llandudno Rugby Club, Llandudno Hospital and business sites in the area. The proposed scheme will provide a Toucan crossing on Maesdu Road near the junction with Attlee Close. Other improvements include localised footway widening, additional guardrail provision, relocation of the existing westbound bus stop and improved on/off cycle facilities on Attlee Close. Removal of existing lighting columns and installation of new columns. Full details of the works are contained in Volumes 1 – 5 of the Contract Documentation.

2 Contract Details

2.1 Title

New Toucan Crossing & Footway/Cycleway Works, Maesdu Road, Llandudno

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

The proposed scheme will provide a Toucan crossing on Maesdu Road near the junction with Attlee Close. Other improvements include localised footway widening, additional guardrail provision, relocation of the existing westbound bus stop and improved on/off cycle facilities on Attlee Close.
