Abstract

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board and Cardiff Local Authority who are seeking to establish a contract for a ‘Getting Started’ Mental Health Service for Children and Young People. The Heath Board have been awarded £60,000.00 by the Welsh Government to increase the capacity of voluntary sector mental health provision within this financial year. The successful applicant will deliver a rolling six week ‘Getting Started’ group workshop programme available to all children and young people who are waiting to access Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health. CYP must be offered the opportunity to participate the first workshop ‘Getting Started’ within 28 days of their referral being accepted by Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health so a minimum of two, staggered cohorts should be working through ‘Getting Started’ at the same time. The programme will cover general information on mental health, how to access wider support, self-help tips to support and manage their own wellbeing, mindfulness, resilience, self-coping skills and how to set and track goals for themselves.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The Health Board has been awarded a funding of £60,000.00 for delivery of additional mental health provision to Children and Young People within this financial year.

Therefore, the contract will be awarded until the 31st March 2021 with an extension option of up to twelve months should further funding becoming available.

1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.

3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.

4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.

5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
