Abstract

Cadw is the Welsh Government's historic environment service working for an accessible and well-protected historic environment for Wales. Cadw is seeking to appoint a suitably accredited and experienced Principal Contractor to undertake pre-construction services and the construction works for the regeneration programme at Caerphilly Castle through the Early Contractor Involvement route. The works includes a new build visitor centre, café and w/c, refurbishment of the existing shop, refurbishment and remodelling of the Great Hall and Interpretation works throughout the castle. Further details on the scope are included in the tender pack. This opportunity is being run through the restricted procedure and so a shortlisting process will take place prior to the invitation to tender. All bidders should be familiar with working in an historic setting and will be required to demonstrate this to be considered for the tendering stage.
