Void Whole House Refurbishment Including Decarbonisation Measures

Description of the goods or services required

Tai Tarian is seeking to engage 2 contractors with a proven track record of delivering best practice on comparable contracts and are able to work pro-actively with Tai Tarian to assist in delivering its social and environmental agenda within the communities in which it operates.

The anticipated cost of this contract is expected to be in the region of 60000.00 GBP per property and, take approx.14 weeks to complete. Tai Tarian is seeking to appoint 2 (two) Contractors to carry out these works. Work will include but is not limited to:

• Electrical rewiring

• Heating installation and associated gas work

• Installation of solar PV and battery storage.

• MVHR systems

• Fabric insulation works (IWI/EWI)

• Structural modifications associated with remodelling internal spaces

• Replacement of roof coverings

• Installation of kitchens and bathrooms to the WHQS

• Externals works

Prices submitted in the Priced Schedule(s) (Appendix 3) are to be fixed for the duration of the contract.

Works to be completed by April 2023.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Tai Tarian is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently Community Benefits clauses will be considered as part of the proposed procurement as Core to address socio-economic and/or environmental issues.

The ‘Core’ approach means that Community Benefits are being ‘bought’ as part of the subject matter of the contract i.e. will be evaluated as part of the tender process.

This means, as part of their tender response, potential contractors will be asked how they will deliver ‘community benefits’ through the contract
