Abstract

The NWSSP All Wales Laundry Service invites qualified and experienced contractors to submit a tender for the supply and fitting of edge protection and roof access to allow for future works to be undertaken safely by the on site Laundry Maintenance team at the Green Vale Laundry All works must be carried out by a competent person who must follow the on site rules set out in the site induction. The contractor must provide the laundry teams with the associated risk assessment and method statement before work can commence on site. All work must be successfully commissioned on completion of the work.

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

• Design and installation of a safe and compliant roof access system to facilitate future maintenance and repair activities.

• Incorporation of appropriate safety features, such as

guardrails and non-slip surfaces, to ensure worker safety

during roof access.

• Guardrails will be required around entire roof.

• Installation of edge protection and skylight protection.

• Installation of a secure ladder or staircase system to provide

easy and controlled access.

• Installation of self-closing gates within guardrail at ladder

access point.
