Additional Information
Following queries into the tender please find some additional information below - • Where are the Devising Dahl schools? They will be in Community First Areas. We are provisionally looking at 1 school in each of the following areas - Cardiff, Caerphilly, Rhyl, Swansea and Holyhead, but this is to be confirmed at this stage. • Who are the facilitators employed by? Are they the same individuals as the music leaders? The facilitators for the devising element will be employed, directly by Wales Millennium Centre. We anticipate working with 3 writers/composers to work with the 5 schools. They are not the same as the Music Leaders due to the different skills required. • Are the Devising Dahl schools likely to take part in the celebration events? Yes the plan is for the devising schools to take part in the celebration event and the general Land of Song project, with the Devising element being an additional layer of learning. • How many music leaders are there and who are they employed by (e.g. WMC, Land of Song project)? Approx 24 music leaders. These are freelance music facilitators contracted through The Aloud Charity for delivery as required, although all fees and expenses etc are being funded by the Land of Song project fund. • Do you anticipate that all of the c200 schools that have registered interest in the project to date will participate in the Twilight Teaching Training Sessions? We understand that dates and times etc will not be suitable for all. We realistically anticipate that some teacher may not attend any sessions but will still take part in the project, although we actively encourage all registered schools to take advantage of this training. • How many have registered to participate in the sessions to date? Approx 60 schools have booked onto the first round of teacher training, although some have said that they are unable to attend this time due to prior commitments, so we would could anticipate a few more in the next round of training. Some of those 60 schools have booked for more than one teacher to attend. • How many schools do you anticipate participating in the celebration events? We are optimistic that all registered schools will take part in the event, (although we are realistic in expecting ‘unforeseen circumstances’ to potentially cause some schools to drop out closer to the date). The date has been communicated and there are 3 venues to choose from. Depending on each school’s preference and capacity at venues etc will determine how many pupils at each school are involved in the concerts
