Waste Collection & Recycling Service

Description of the goods or services required

Tenders are invited to collect and recycle the following waste streams from various identified locations within the Authority.

* Non-hazardous (general waste)

* Recyclate mixed

* Food

There may also be a requirement for the disposal and recycling of other waste categories including but not limited to waste such as WEEE and fluorescent tubes. Any such requirements shall be made available on request.

The successful supplier shall

• have and maintain waste carrier licences, insurances and any other statutory licences or certification throughout the contract duration that is specific to the services required. These must be available on request.

• provide information on request of the process of recycling of the waste once it has been collected from the main office or additional sites.

• ensure the production of a signed Waste Transfer Note or consignment note is provided for each collection.

• minimise any environmental damage or impact throughout the course of these services to maximise recycling and achieve zero to landfill.

The Authority is using etenderwales to conduct this process where tender documentation is available for bidders to access.

Bidders shall register their interest on the e-tender system (etenderwales)up to 12 Noon on 24/10/2016. The system will not allow any registrations against this opportunity after this time.

Clarifications shall be allowed up to 12 Noon on 25/10/2016.Any queries received later than this time will not be responded to.
