Tai Calon is seeking to appoint experienced and qualified contractor (s) to re-roof a number of properties within Blaenau Gwent. The contract is divided into 3 Lots:

• Lot 1 – EWI Non Traditional Properties

• Lot 2 – EWI Traditional Properties

• Lot 3 – Cavity Extract and EWI Cefn Golau

Tenderers may bid for one or all of the Lots.

The requirement is separated into three lots and the project is to be completed within a time period of up to 16 weeks per lot which is to include a minimum of 4 weeks drying time. It is Tai Calon’s intention to award the contract by 8th November 2017. Due consideration should be given to these timescales prior to submitting a bid. The successful Contractor (s) will be required to attend a pre contract meeting before starting work.

Tai Calon intends to award the work to a maximum of two separate contractors. The start date is to be confirmed on award, but the lots may be scheduled to start concurrently or run consecutively, and if they are run consecutively there may be a delay between the end of the works for one lot and the start of the works for another, for instance, the second package may start in the new financial year. Therefore, tendered prices are deemed to be fixed for a period of two years, even though it is anticipated that the works will be completed within this time frame.
