Abstract

The University is in the process of setting up the Medicines Discovery Institute and has begun refurbishment of chemistry and biology laboratories based on the ground floor of the main building, park place, Cardiff. As part of this project there is a requirement for new scientific equipment to furnish the new research institute. The biology laboratories have been fully refurbished and ready to occupy. Please give indications if items can be stored before delivery and if so for how long. The equipment has been split into 9 lots: Lot 1 – Protein Crystallisation equipment and accessories Lot 2 - Spectrophotometer / Fluorometer for measurement of protein/DNA concentration / kinetic assay in cuvette or micro-volume samples Lot 3 - PCR instrument and Fluorescent cell imager Lot 4 - Electroporator (cell transfection system) Lot 5 – Automated cell counter Lot 6 - General Laboratory equipment Lot 7 – Stackable Incubator Shakers and shaker accessories Lot 8 – Gel documentation system and accessories Lot 9 – Liquid chromatography system including instrument, fraction collector and software
