Construction of newbuild housing at Vulcan Street, Holyhead, Anglesey

Description of the goods or services required

The Council wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor for the construction of 2 x 2 bed houses and 4 x 1 bed flats at Vulcan Street, Holyhead with associated landscaping works, as per the guidance given in the tender documentation.

Tenders must be submitted via the sell2wales postbox facility by 12:00pm on the 09/11/2018.

Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

The successful contractor will be expected to provide minimum 30 weeks work placement/experience.

Community benefits will be equivalent to 0.25% of the contract value.
