An award of contract has been made by Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council to commission a supported living service for up to three people in a newly refurbished four bedroomed property in Rhydding, near Neath, where the support for this new service will involve delivering a customised package of care support to individuals in line with their assessed needs.
The contract will be for a period of three years with the option to extend by a period or periods of up to a further 24 months. As the service is new, there will be no TUPE requirements.

VII.2) Information about modifications
VII.2.1) Description of the modifications
Following the initial award the successful supplier Voyage Care had to withdraw since they could not comply with requirements. An award has subsequently been made to the next most economically advantageous tender submitted by Lifeways Support Options.

Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
Following the initial award the successful supplier Voyage Care had to withdraw at late notice to the Council since they could not comply with requirements that had been clearly laid out by the Council in the ITT and which they initially confirmed they could do during the process. Due to the urgent nature of needing a supplier to deliver these services as scheduled an award has subsequently had to be made to the next most economically advantageous tender submitted by Lifeways Support Options.
