EIP Carbon Neutral Farming WP2 Carbon Stocks

Description of the goods or services required

This project will assess the feasibility of reaching ‘Carbon Neutrality’ (or Net Zero’ emissions) for individual farms and collectively, across six farms covering a range of enterprises and farming systems.

The assessment of carbon stock and stock changes in aboveground biomass is an essential component of this EIP study. It will form the basis of the analysis of rates of sequestration in above ground woody biomass with a specific focus on determining the stock change in hedges left uncut.

We would like to commission this work to use innovative measurement techniques of hedgerows that have been recently flailed compared with hedges that have been left uncut for 1, 2, and 3 years. The measurements would take place around the Llangorse area.
