Abstract

Background WeCare Wales is the national attraction, recruitment and retention campaign for Social Care, Early Years and Childcare and is developed and managed by Social Care Wales. A key area we are looking to explore within the campaign is values-based recruitment and retention and how to help care employers in Wales consider such an approach within their current practice. The focus on values is further supported by the WeCare Wales Stakeholder Advisory group which is made up of a range of organisations and regions in Wales. The benefits to the employer and to the individual with using a values-based approach are significant however the challenge is helping communicate these and support organisations to consider and adopt these approaches. Proposed scope of work We are looking for a provider to support this work through the development and delivery of a series of sessions that would focus on what values are, and relevant focussed examples illustrating how values-based recruitment processes can be embedded. The sessions would need to be held digitally through platforms such as MS Teams or Zoom and a recording would be made available on-line through www.wecare.wales. We would also look for additional supportive resources to supplement the sessions to help embed the learning. The successful provider would be attributed to the work however ownership of the sessions and resources would remain with Social Care Wales. Please see Quote Specification for more detail
