PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE AWARD NOTICE In order to support Newport City Council to meet its duty under the Children and Families (Wales) Measure 2010 and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act 2015 and other duties, the Council wishes to commission an experienced service provider to run and facilitate a Youth Council within Newport. An integral role of the Newport Youth Council is to give a platform and facilitate the voices and influence of young people (11-25 years) in the decisions made that affect their lives today and in the future. The key outcomes are to have in place a sustainable, well-functioning Youth Council which will facilitate participation in decision making, promote involvement in service delivery and improve the experience, skills and capacity of young people whilst contributing to the Council’s statutory duties.
