Coach Developer Practitioner Programme

Description of the goods or services required

This contract requires an organisation/ company/ institution who can engage with Sport Wales to co-design, develop, deliver and complete an impact evaluation on a CIMSPA compatible, development and training programme for Coach Developer Practitioners. Staff and consultants should be appropriately experienced and hold relevant qualifications in people development, developing coaches and coach developers.

The Coach Developers participating in the programme will be involved with developing coaches working in performance pathways in Wales. Therefor those delivering the programme will need to include theory lead elements which support coaching practice which by design takes into account the developmental phases of children and adolescents in sport.

Minimum standards and qualification required

A delivery team with the knowledge, expertise and experience to design and deliver modern, accessible and inclusive development experiences which take into consideration principles of adult learning; who can provide in-context individual coach developer practitioner development support; who can role model a theory informed approach to effective coaching practice; who can advocate for the concepts which inform the understanding of child and adolescent development and translate this into the sport context.
