Research - Learner Engagement Travel,Tourism, Hospitality and Catering

Description of the goods or services required

The contract will run between January 2022 and August 2022.

1. The research supplier will plan and conduct an effective engagement exercise to conduct Learner engagement, with a sample Learners drawn from both full-time courses and apprenticeships in the subjects of Travel, Tourism, Hospitality and Catering Sector (TTHC) in Wales.

2. Analyse the data gathered and submit a written report to Qualifications Wales

Total quantity or scope of tender

Sample of approximately 400 learners in a range of education settings across Wales. The sample must include learners studying through the medium of English and, Welsh. All relevant qualifications from across the sector must also be represented proportionately.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

To avoid perceptions of a conflict of interest, Qualifications Wales are unable to accept bids from awarding bodies who offer regulated qualifications within the TTHC sector in England, Northern Ireland or Wales.

The supplier will be responsible for ensuring that the appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance is in place before commencing work with young people.

The supplier will need to make arrangements for the provision of Welsh-medium engagement activities and documentation used to support the fieldwork (for example discussion guides, consent form and information sheets). The final report will be submitted in English.
