Contract for Swansea Tree Canopy Cover survey and Tree Planting opportunity mapping and report

Description of the goods or services required

To undertake a tree canopy cover and tree planting opportunity survey and mapping exercise for the whole of the city and county of Swansea using available council GIS layers including the council’s potential tree planting map combined with the council’s Bluesky national tree map data and further open source data etc. Produce an existing and potential canopy cover assessment report.

Currently the Council does not have an accurate county wide survey data of the tree canopy across Swansea of both council owned land and land in other ownership.  This project will provide a baseline of the county’s current tree assets enabling a strategic approach to connectivity and tree planting across the County.

Register your company on the eTenderWales portal (this is only required once):

— Click on the relevant ITT to access the content.

— Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page.

— This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page (this is a secure area reserved for your projects only).

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
