Description of the contract
Advances Wales was launched in 1992 to showcase Wales as a region of quality R&D and innovation in science, engineering and technology. It is a longstanding, recognised brand, used for promoting innovative projects to Welsh businesses, facilitating collaboration and raising the profile of R & D abroad.
Advances is a 40 page quarterly journal and has a global dissemination to over 5,000 readers, across universities, businesses, programme & media commissioners, health institutions, schools and the general public.
The aim of this tender exercise is to source and award a contract to a suitable bidder who will be responsible for sourcing potential stories, providing scientific copywriting, editorial, design and translation of the Advances Wales publication. Four issues per year are required, Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter.
The Client requires the successful bidder to source potential stories and imagery, provide the scientific copywriting, editorial, Welsh translation and design of Advances Wales journal.
The content and design of 4 copies of Advances each year ready for printing and distribution, in addition to accessible PDF’s of the publications and individual articles. Also, with the intention to move the publication to a primarily digital offering, the successful bidder will be expected to work with the client to explore options to achieve this aim during the contract lifetime.
