Abstract

Theatr Brycheiniog has been fortunate and grateful to secure an Arts Council of Wales grant to upgrade its current auditorium house lights to a new and more eco and environmentally friendly system, replacing what was installed when the building opened in 1997. We are looking at replacing the whole of the above with Dimmable LED lighting of a warm nature, fully dimmable to zero with no flicker or strobe when reaching a low level which and must be controllable via our lighting console but also have an option to operate remotely so housekeeping can switch them on without using the lighting desk. We need to replace the dimmer with equipment that is able to control the new fittings and ensure it can cope with dimming of LED fittings in a smooth and flicker free fashion as would be expected in a theatre auditorium location. All new fixtures must be fully dimmable with a smooth dimming curve which suites a theatrical auditorium. There must be no flicker or strobe when the lights are fading up or down. The new fitting must be able to fit (where reasonably practicable) in the existing positions of the houselights. (replace the ceiling mounted with new and wall mounted with new) the decorative must be discreet and able to light the aisle up. The bridge units can replace the existing units and can be rigged from the existing infrastructure that is in place. The old units need to be de rigged. Bolts and clamps need to be factored into the price for the bridge units. The cost would need to consist of supply, deliver, install and commission the system to an agreed timetable with Theatr Brycheiniog. Consideration must be taken to ensure all walls are made good before and/or after installation of new fittings. For further information regarding this please contact ioan@brycheiniog.co.uk Approximate budget is £95,000.00 however this is part of a larger project. If there is an underspend in the other part of the project there may be more funds available. Suppliers are welcome to provide a single tender for both projects but must indicate interest through Sell 2 Wales on both tenders.

Description of the contract

For further information regarding this please contact ioan@brycheiniog.co.uk

Approximate budget is £95,000.00 however this is part of a larger project. If there is an underspend in the other part of the project there may be more funds available. Suppliers are welcome to provide a single tender for both projects but must indicate interest through Sell 2 Wales on both tenders.
