Down to Earth has ambitious plans to develop a community-led manufacturing facility to enable communities to be at the heart of creating homes and public infrastructure, at scale. Integrating the very best of MMC/OSM with people-centred processes and use of natural materials, the new facility will blend cutting edge technologies with empowering people to be at the heart of regeneration of our built and natural environments. Building on the recently launched Welsh Government “Tai ar y Cyd - Pattern Book” of Social Housing, our new facility will enable communities to build panels for homes and other public infrastructure using home grown timber and natural materials.
The Manufacturing Business Consultant will undertake an intensive 3-month piece of work to further develop a 5-year business and operational plan of our new facility.
