Abstract

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent is seeking a three (3) year framework with the option to extend for one (1) additional year for the Supply of Covert (CID) Harnesses. The harnesses are to be used by Criminal Intellegence Department (CID) staff predominately as a means to carry their personal-issue Police equipment covertly under outer garments. They may also be worn by non CID staff when the need arises who will be required to carry their personal-issue Police equipment when conducting plain clothes duties. The purpose of the Framework is to establish a single Contractor to supply Criminal Intelligence Department (CID) covert harnesses in line with the stated specification requirements of the Commissioner. The harness will be worn by male and female officers shall be available in right and left hand options and be available in sizes from extra small to extra extra large (2XL) The Contractor needs to be aware that there is no commitment from the Commissioner or other forces to purchase any units. The Framework shall be available to the following forces: •The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent •The Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales •The Police and Crime Commissioner for Dyfed Powys

2 Contract Details

2.1 Title

Provision of Covert (CID) Harnessess

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent is seeking a three (3) year framework with the option to extend for one (1) additional year for the Supply of Covert (CID) Harnesses.
