Description of the goods or services required

Eastern High School and CAVC are due to transfer provision from existing facilities to its new Community Campus in Trowbridge

Rd, East Cardiff in December 2017 with the new facility becoming fully operational at the beginning of January 2018.

The School and College are seeking to appoint a catering contractor that can deliver a first class, inventive, nutritional and modern catering service to its staff and student cohort for an initial period of three years with an option to extend for a further year.

The new campus will accommodate up to a thousand school pupils, 500 students and about 200 staff.

The School and College are seeking to appoint a catering contractor that can deliver a first class, inventive, nutritional and modern catering service to its staff and student cohort.

As a minimum, you should have experience delivery a catering service, ideally within an education environment.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

Apprenticeships, Training programmes, Student work experience, charity support, school sponsorship, training to community groups, education contributions to students, charity partnering, employment opportunities for the long term unemployed, employment options for the local community

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
