Description of the goods or services required
The National Botanic Garden of Wales has HLF and other funding to undertake the delivery phase of a project to restore the Regency waterpark within the parkland of the Middleton Hall estate. The parkland is included in the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Historic Interest in Wales. The restoration is primarily a civil engineering project which includes the repair and reconstruction of a number of historic dams, the restoration of historic reservoirs and construction of new pedestrian bridges.
Before the main construction contract is awarded in 2018, the Garden is undertaking some preliminary works include ring, site clearance, tree-felling, timber sale and associated works across the site within the Garden’s boundaries.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
Organisations who respond to the tender will be expected to work cooperatively with appointed ecologists and respect the fact that the whole of the Garden’s site is a sensitive site for archaeology and ecology, as well as being a public attraction, with a working farm with livestock.
