Abstract

NRW is seeking to award a contract to clearfell and extract infected larch trees within Tarenig forest in Mid Wales. The purpose of the requirement is to ensure that NRW meet its statutory plant health notice to fell trees infected with the disease phytophthora. All tree in the coup boundary need to be clear felled, extracted and removed to stacking area, as soon as possible to stop the disease spreading further. The location for the delivery of this requirement will be at 7 different sites within the Tarenig Forest, Coed y Mynydd district in Mid Wales.

Felling conversion and extraction of Phytophthora Infected Trees - Tarenig Forest

2.2 Description of the goods or services required
