Swansea Council have issued a tender to comply with requirements as set out in Regulation 14 of The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992. The aim of the works is to remove existing safety film, prepare surfaces and to supply and Install safety glazing film internally and externally to nominated school premises.

School premises have been ranked in priority order based on information collated from glazing surveys undertaken 2018/2019. The tender is based on completing safety filming works to 12 Primary Schools and 1 Comprehensive School.

Total quantity or scope of tender

Safety film product to include 3M Safety S40 or equivalent film internally and 3M S40 Exterior film or equivalent for all external filming. Safety Film must be tested and certified to EN 12600 Class 2B2. 100 micron clear safety and security film to be used as a minimum specification both internally and externally. All film must be applied in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations by trained and qualified personnel

— Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page.

— This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page (this is a secure area reserved for your projects only).

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.

— There may be a mixture of online and offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available).
