Abstract

Hywel Dda University Health board has a tender requirement of proposed supply of debt recovery services. Proposed works, work to include: A comprehensive debt collection service for debts that have remained unpaid for a period of 56 days having already been through our internal credit control processes to recover payment. The service will include: Recovery of the debt through the agent’s direct actions. Both in the UK & Overseas. Providing advice on the most cost-effective course of action where the agent is unable to recover the debt - such as court action. Advise on the best and most cost-effective enforcement action for recovery of debts when court action finds in favour of the health board. Ensure that all recovery actions are legitimate and will not give rise to reputational damage of the health board. Handle in excess of 100 new referrals per annum. Provide status reports of all referred debts at least on a monthly basis. Quarterly visits to the HDUHB to review cases & discuss other issues. Provide assistance to HDUHB in completing necessary court documents if required. Provide solicitor representation at Court if necessary. Notify HDUHB of any responses from debtors and liaise with Income Recovery department to obtain agreement to any repayment plans suggested. Provide a monthly statement of any monies received on behalf of HDUHB and remit to HDUHB bank account on a timely basis. Provide advice to the HDUHB in respect of debt recovery, bankruptcy, insolvency and receivership issues. Provide specialist Overseas Patient Debt Recovery advice & Service.
