Procurement description

Work Opportunity services are well established as one of Denbighshire’s preferred ways of meeting the needs of people with a learning disability. This contract is to provide additional direct support staff to work within the Denbighshire County Council managed Community Skills Service, supporting citizens in various settings. To enable citizens with complex disabilities who need specialist support to gain work-based experience, learn new skills, socialise and/or have something meaningful in their lives.

Engagement process description

A meet the buyer event for this contract will taking place via Microsoft Teams at 10am on 16/10/25 to give potential providers opportunity to learn more about the expectations of the contract and answer any queries. The event is anticipated to last until 11.30am. To book your attendance at this event please email Lauren Roberts at CandCteamASCH@denbighshire.gov.uk and a meeting invite link will be sent out to your requested email address.

A separate engagement will also consult with staff from the current service provider and Denbighshire County Council’s Community Skills Service as well as citizens who are supported by the project and their families/carers. Consultation will be offered via questionnaire and/or face to face engagement.
