Abstract

The works shall form part (all electrical works associated with the sprinkler trace heating system) of installing a complete new Sprinkler system. The works shall include for supply, installation, testing, commissioning works and all associated builders work in connection with the new Trace heatinq Svstem at Griffith John High Rise Flats. It is intended that the trace heating system shall be monitored via the sprinkler alarm panel, with the sprinkler alarm panel giving the audible and visual notification of a fault on the trace heating system. Fault monitoring of the trace heating system shall be monitored via the sprinkler control panel with a fault being notified to a remote monitoring station via a Dualcom Pro unit on site. It is intended that the installation of the Trace heating system and all electrical works shall be split between two contractors, with Swansea Council carrying out the installation of the electrical services including the wiring of the monitoring system as far as the input/output connection points. And a Trace heating contractor who shall be responsible for the supply, terminations and commissioning of the Trace heating panels and all trace heating tape, and including the connections of the trace heating panels to the input/output connection points. Going forward where the term Swansea Council/Trace Heating Contractor is stated the part of the spec refers to both parties to comply with. Where an individual's responsibilities lie I,e, a specific duty the party responsible for the part will be identified by either Swansea Council [internal electrical department] or Trace Heating contractor. Swansea Council will be taking the role of Principle contractor for the project.

2.1

Title

Description of the goods or services required

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:
