Description of the goods or services required
The National Library of Wales (NLW) invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced design companies for the creation, production, and installation of graphic designs for a newly developed exhibition area, with additional introduction and promotional panels. The exhibition area comprises three rooms:
Room 1: Introduction to the National Library of Wales
Room 2: Seasonal Exhibition Space
Room 3: Seasonal Exhibition Space
The physical layout and spatial plan of the new exhibition area have already been determined.
This tender focuses on the graphic design, visual identity, and installation of the interpretive elements in Room 1, and a consistent design language for the other print items in Rooms 2 and Room 3, the introduction panel to be located outside of the Rooms, and promotional panels to be located in the alcoves in the Shop/Reception area (see Appendix I - Photographs relating to print items).
The exhibition area will have two core functions:
Permanent Introduction Space (Room 1) – A visually striking and accessible introduction to the National Library of Wales, its purpose, history, collections, activities, and services.
Seasonal Exhibitions (Rooms 2 & 3) – Exhibitions changing on a quarterly basis (every three months).
The successful supplier will produce a cohesive and consistent design language across all three rooms, ensuring that the visitor experience feels unified and clearly aligned with the Library’s identity.
