Description of the goods or services required
Merthyr Valley Homes are developing 12 Nr. residential units adjacent to their head offices on Lansbury Road, Merthyr Tydfil.
The scheme involves Demolition of an existing church hall, ‘St Lukes Church’, ‘Gellideg Foundation Offices’ and a small play area, together with Design and Build of 12Nr. Residential Properties (8 x 2P1B Flats, 2 x 4P2B Houses & 2 x 3P2B Bungalows) together with site preparation works, external works and drainage including any required offsite drainage, highways work and section agreements including any adoptions required to provide a fully completed development.

The project involves the demolition of existing buildings. These buildings are as follows; St Lukes Church Hall and 2. Gellideg Foundation Offices
Followed by the construction of 12 new residential dwellings. These dwellings are as follows;
8 x 2 Person 1 Bedroom walk up flats
2 x 4 Person 2 Bedroom Houses
2 x 3 Person 2 bedroom Bungalows
And all associated works, including but not limited to the following;
• Site preparation works
• External works
• Drainage including any required offsite drainage
• Highways work and section agreements including any adoptions required to provide a fully completed development.
It should be noted that the Principal Contractor and any directly employed specialist sub-contractors must make themselves aware of the current disposition of the site prior to submission of the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and commencement of any work on site.
Preliminary ground investigations, including services investigations have been carried out and copies of the information provided are included in the Appendices of the Employers Requirements dated November 2020.
The Principal Contractor is to carry out their own investigations prior to excavations to locate all services within the site boundary or any other potential issues that may require specialist treatment and must ensure that these are fully identified during works on site to avoid accidental disturbance.
The programmed commencement and completion dates are to be confirmed but anticipated start date is no later than March 2020.
