Abstract

An award has been made for the provision of an Out of Hours Call Handling Service for emergency repairs. This service manages around 10,000 calls annually from our customers who need an emergency repair outside of our normal office hours. Examples of emergency repairs include: • no heating or hot water • no electricity • no toilet facilities • a damaged door or window leaving the home insecure • a severe leak or burst pipe • a leak that is affecting the electrics • an unsafe electrical fitting that is sparking or smoking, or bare wiring The service is required during the below times: • 5pm-8:30am Monday – Thursday • 4:30pm Friday through until 8:30am Monday • All bank holidays
