Abstract

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking tenders from suppliers to convert six (6) Ford Rangers into Rural Response Units. The conversion will consist of the provision and installation of a High Pressure Water Misting Unit, on each vehicle, self contained on a removable skid, as detailed in Appendix C. The Ford Rangers will be free issued and provided by SVP Ford having been purchased directly by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The chassis specification can be found in Appendix 2 of Appendix C. The contract will be for a 5 year period with an option to extend for upto a further 5 years at 12 month intervals. The contract period will cover the initial conversion of the six (6) Rural response Units along with the provision of ongoing spare parts for the High Pressure Water Misting Units.
