Abstract

An award has been made for the construction of a 30 x 20 metre ‘Special Cruyff Court’ (a type of ball Court or Multi – Use- Games- Area) complete with perimeter wheelchair/cycle slalom track. The basic design of the Court to follow the Specification as stipulated by the grant giver ‘The Cruyff Foundation’. The Court is, in its design, especially adapted for use by those that suffer physical and mental impairment. The Court will allow children and young people educated at Ysgol Hendrefelin and Ysgol Maes y Coed to participate in sport and physical activity to the same degree as their Mainstream peers. The construction of the Special Cruyff Court is being part funded by Sport Wales and the Cruyff Foundation.
