Abstract
The International Food & Drink Festival has taken place in Cardiff bay over the past 16 years growing year on year and consistently achieving a clean and inviting event site attracting food and drink providers from across the world.
The event layout is structured around a series of marquee blocks within the oval basin area for producers, a perimeter ring of stalls and activity/ demonstration marquees and additional farmer market stalls on an adjoining street.
The event site is designed to allow easy public access from multiple non-ticketed entry points, with all forms of ability access requirements provided, whilst also maintaining the integrity of the locations’ environment and existing surfaces.
The installation and event schedule is arranged to insure the continued happy relationship with local residents and businesses, ensuring noises levels, traffic obstructions and disruption of day to day activities are kept to an absolute minimum.
Cardiff Council and the Events team are looking to put a contract in place for the hire all marquees required for the event from one supplier for a period of three years.
