Abstract

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are seeking quotes from suppliers for the purchase and maintenance of a Telehandler for the All Wales Urban Search and Rescue team (USAR). The all Wales Urban Search and Rescue team (USAR) are a specialist rescue capability that can be potentially utilised across the whole of Wales. The USAR team are looking to purchase one telehandler for creating realistic training environments at its two training locations in Wales. The USAR team has based its requirements to interoperate with other USAR teams that form part of the Wales response to its neighbouring Fire and Rescue Services. Suppliers will be required to supply a telehandler that can deliver the lift and reach capability detailed within this document, annual servicing over 5 years, and an immediate response to any breakdown.
