II.1.4) Short description
The Planning Portal is a UK and Welsh Government joint initiative, allowing the submission of all planning applications to local planning authorities across England and Wales, via a single interface. The site provides a variety of planning and other application types, as specified in planning and other legislation, and fully bilingually. The Welsh Government will soon be tendering for a dedicated online planning portal for Wales. The portal will need to be able to provide a similar level of service to the current Planning Portal, link seamlessly into existing local government ICT systems, and be fully compliant with the Welsh Language Standards. We intend to advertise for a 3 year contract for this replacement service, with an option to extend for a further 3 years subject to annual performance reviews and budget approval.

The Client envisages the value of this contract to be between the 500,000GBP and 1,000,000GBP range (excl VAT). This value range is for the full potential contract term inclusive of any extension options. The tender will be evaluated on the basis of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender.
