Description of the contract
Monmouthshire County Council (the Council) invites tenders for Caldicot Links – NEC Project Management Services for Construction Phase.
The Council is developing proposals for a traffic free Active Travel route along a 2.8km length of disused railway line on the eastern edge of Caldicot, Monmouthshire (approximate postcode NP26 4HU), that will be suitable for all users including walkers and cyclists.
Subject to permissions being granted, construction work of the southern 1km long section (Phase 1) is scheduled to commence in October 2022. The Council has been successful in obtaining Welsh Government Active Travel Funding to fund the construction (approx. £1.7M) which must be completed by the end of March 2023.
The Council is seeking to procure project management services for the Construction Phase of Phase 1 of its Caldicot Links Active Travel Route, in Caldicot.
The project management services required will include the following roles, as described in more detail within the Specification and Appendices of the ITT document:
• NEC4 - Project Manager,
• NEC4 - Quantity Surveyor,
• NEC4 - Works Supervisor.
The project management services are expected to commence in August 2022 and be completed by March 2023.
