Abstract

MWT is seeking the services of Creative Marketing Agency/s to deliver two key elements of an exciting new multi-media promotional campaign that will build on #RealMidWales campaign. The campaign will present ‘Real Mid Wales’ as an unbranded, unpretentious, authentic destination. Engaging content that communicates our four key themes to our chosen target audience in an innovative and appealing way is essential. The successful agency/s will highlight what is unique about Mid Wales as a destination, raise awareness of what the region has to offer and sell the experience /offer to our target audience - 27-45 year olds within a 2-4 hour drive time. The chosen creative agency/s will be required to: 1. Social Media & Influencer Campaign: Build our Visit Mid Wales FB & IG social media profile and manage a social media influencer campaign 2. Multi-media Destination Guide: Design concept & artwork of a new ‘destination sell’ brochure and assist the MWT team to create new content pages for the VisitMidWales.co.uk website. 3. Content Development: Develop content for use across multiple platforms to support elements of the campaign; web, social channels, digital advertising media ‘This is Mid Wales’ multi-media campaign will promote what is special and unique about the Mid Wales region, and promotional activity should focus on real, authentic experiences, people, place and culture of Mid Wales.The overall purpose of this campaign is to generate new business for the region and to improve and raise the profile /image of Mid Wales as one of the four primary regions in Wales to visit. A new, fresh approach to content development utilised across all online and offline channels will attract and engage a new generation of visitors to Mid Wales including ‘Conscious Travellers’ and ‘Microgap’ enthusiasts. They are ready made for Mid Wales, possibly more so than anywhere else in the country – willing and able to travel deeper and further into the region. All campaign activity should support the Wales Brand, Visit Wales Thematic Year Campaigns, The Wales Way routes and the four Mid Wales key themes which are: • Travel Routes • Wildlife, Environment and Nature • Adventure, Sport & Experiences • Well-being, Escape, rejuvenation

Relates to the following project/programme financed by EU Community Funds: MWT has secured 2 years of Tourism Product Innovation Funding (TIPF) from Visit Wales to deliver an integrated multi-media marketing campaign to promote the Mid Wales region. Project partners and stakeholders include Gwynedd Council and a number of local towns and areas in the region.
