Description of the contract
The National Independent Safeguarding Board (NISB) was established under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. It is an advisory body. The role of the National Board is to provide support and advice to Safeguarding Boards with a view to:
• ensuring that Safeguarding Boards are effective;
• reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of arrangements to safeguard children and adults in Wales; and
• making recommendations to the Welsh Ministers as to how those arrangements could be improved.
This contract is for Shaping the Future of safeguarding in Wales and will consist of three workstreams:
Workstream 1: An Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MAOSA) in Wales – Phase II (Phase 1 having been completed in the latter half of 2020).
Workstream 2: The Development of a National Performance Framework for Statutory Safeguarding
Workstream 3: “Messages from People”
Bidders are invited to submit Bids to be awarded the contract for Shaping the Future of safeguarding in Wales.
The Contract is for the delivery of the Services as described in the Specification.
For information purposes the potential value of the Contract is estimated to be between £80,000 to £90,000.
