Abstract

Provision of a Through-care, Aftercare and Recovery Support integrated substance misuse service for adults over the age of 18. The service will complement and work collaboratively to support Tiers 2-4 adult substance misuse treatment and support services across Cardiff and the Vale ABP area including individuals in receipt of clinical and non-clinical treatment interventions, those leaving residential treatment services, and service users contemplating changes to their care plan that may lead to aftercare and recovery support service provision. The service will collaborate with children and young people’s substance misuse services in order to provide transitional support for 18+yr olds leaving those services, and for whom aftercare and recovery is the most suitable form of intervention for the next stage of their care and support CPV: 90743200.

Explanation

Cardiff and Vale substance misuse commissioning was produced in 2013 and outlined the direction of travel for next five years for all partner agencies across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Many of the contracts which were informed by the Commissioning Strategy are due to be re-tendered with a view to new contracts and services being in place by April 2020.
