Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
COMMUNITY BENEFITS - The Supplier will work with the Council’s responsible officer to maximise the Community Benefits arising under this Framework Agreement including:
recruiting and training economically inactive persons as part of the workforce delivering the contract;
providing opportunities for SMEs, including social enterprises, to bid for second and third tier supply chain contracts arising out of this Framework Agreement and the Contract;
securing other positive outcomes likely to benefit the local community, including:
- working with local schools and colleges (for example, offering work experience/work placements);
- facilitating environmental initiatives and contributing to community regeneration schemes;
- supporting food banks within the County;
- supplying Fairtrade or similar (in the reasonable opinion of the Council) ethically sourced Products.
The Supplier will submit to the Council evidence that it has the required expertise or skills to meet these requirements
