Abstract

To supply and install Energy Storage Equipment (battery packs plus DC-AC inverters/chargers) with all necessary peripherals including cabling, control systems, interconnecting cable for batteries, GSM, storage racks and all necessary temporary and enabling works. The energy store will both serve to increase renewable energy utilisation and as a standby source of power supply if state utility power supply becomes unavailable. The system must meet with any current national standards and regulation. All of the below is to be included within the tender price: the Tender price should be based on a fully installed system; any additional costs incurred will be covered by the supplier. An unforeseen cost, such as electrical work, will have to be agreed prior to any work being carried out. The College may wish to make a site visit to the manufacturing base of the Contractor or to a site where a similar system is installed (preferably a dairy farm) by the Contractor. Final system specification will be determined during a meeting between the Contractor and Coleg Sir Gâr prior to awarding the tender. The initial contract will include battery pack installations on a minimum of 3 separate farms, although there may be an opportunity to increase this to a maximum of 5 farms. There is a fixed budget allocated to this project and therefore the number of units installed will depend on unit cost. The initial 3 farm are located within 15 miles of Carmarthen, South Wales.
