Abstract
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is inviting tenders for construction works in connection with the remediation of a length of forestry road affected by a landslide. This includes the removal of the disturbed material below the road and the construction of a four metre high gabion retaining wall. In addition, a localised area of gabion wall road edge protection will also be constructed.
At the location of a small stream adjacent to the Works, there is a requirement to realign an existing culvert and install an outfall box chamber and to formalise the intake position. In addition, the existing drain located adjacent to the road is to be re-graded.
The Works are located within the NRW Rheola Wood landholding near Pentreclwydau in the Vale of Neath.
