Electronic Point of Sale ( EPoS) Scoping study for Cadw

Cadw is the Welsh Government’s historic environment service working for an accessible and well protected historic environment for Wales. In order to support this work Cadw operates a range of commercial functions including staffed visitors centres at 24 monuments across Wales. Cadw generates between 80-90% of its income through admissions and retail. There is significant potential for this figure to grow if the communications and retailing technology underpinning its business operations are upgraded.

The current electronic point of system (EPoS) that manages admissions and retail sales, orders, stock levels and payments, dates from 2011, and it is already beyond its recommended 5 year shelf life and is likely to require replacement in the near future.

The aim of this invitation to tender is to have a set of robust recommendations for the delivery of a new EPoS system that will meet Cadw’s current and future management and operational requirements.

- The first person from your Organisation to use the Platform will be required to register on behalf of the Organisation.
