Description of the contract
The University of South Wales (USW) is undertaking a research and development project for the processing of waste industrial gases. The project (SMART Circle,Project Ref 122016/COL/003) is funded by the Welsh Government SMART Expertise programme utilizing the European Regional Development Fund(ERDF), and is being completed in collaboration with a number of industrial partners.
The University wishes to procure services for the detailed design, construction,factory testing and installation of a bio-reactor vessel including ancillary process monitoring and control equipment and systems to allow the safe and automated operation of the bio-reactor.
The complete system will be deployed at a location in the South Wales area and will be utilized for a series of experiments aimed at demonstrating and improving the efficiency of the processing of waste gases.
Responses are required from companies with a track record of designing and manufacturing pilot plants or industrial equipment in either the gas processing or bio-technology sectors.
Responses are expected to include:
a) previous track-record of the company delivering similar products;
b) a detailed description of the proposed approach;
c) a detailed description of the equipment and software;
d) expected delivery time;
e) a full breakdown of costs including detailed design, assembly, factory testing, site commissioning and training of University personnel in its use.
