TfW has appointed a suitable supplier who is best able to meet TfW's key functional requirements. TfW will work with suppliers to develop non core requirements for the successful delivery.
Key requirements to support fflecsi services are:
*Provides routing and scheduling functions for vehicles;
*Has an integrated driver ‘app’;
*Has an integrated passenger ‘app’;
*Is able to modernise existing Demand Responsive Transport services in Wales such as Bwcabus and Grass Routes;
*Provides back office tools to set system parameters and monitor performance, provide management information and customer service representatives information that enables them to manage customer calls effectively; and
*Interfaces with a web portal that provides trip booking and account management functions for passengers and the TfW CRM.

Transport for Wales (TfW) was commissioned by Welsh Government (WG) in 2019/20 to trial different aspects of an Integrated Responsive Transport service (IRT), now branded as fflecsi.
TfW are making the system available to Local Authorities, Welsh Government and NHS services if they so wish and suppliers may be required to configure software needs in line with their requirements.
TfW currently has a number of live fflecsi implementations, live Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services are operating in:
Newport, Cardiff, Denbigh, Prestatyn and Rhondda
Semi -scheduled implementations are live in Pembrokeshire and the Conwy Valley, by the time this Contract is awarded there may be further implementations.
The appointed supplier is required to host (and potentially migrate) any live DRT and semi-scheduled services that are in service at Contract Award.
