Contract for the maintenance to rock catch fences at Craig y Dre, Coed Tremadog NNR

Description of the goods or services required

NRW is seeking to award a contract for the maintenance of Rock catch fences.

The purpose of the requirement is to maintain all ropes and U-bolt fixings associated with the rock catch fences by liberal re-greasing with a top grade lubricant, as specified. This will involve cutting back vegetation and scraping back soil and leaf litter to the extent necessary to provide competent and comprehensive protection. Any location where ropes have been damaged either by impact or by corrosion other than superficial discolouration are to be recorded photographically and in terms of location, for further consideration, but should still be greased after such recording.

Any clarification requests relating to the contents of the ITT should be directed to NRW via the message portal in etenderwales. Once a bidder raises a clarification NRW’s response will be posted via the message portal within the etenderwales system and broadcast to all interested parties. Clarification responses will include both the original clarification request and the response but will be anonymised.

Bidders must raise clarifications on the content of this ITT by the deadline set out in the timetable at section 3.1 (Procurement Timetable). NRW is under no obligation to respond to clarification requests received after this deadline.

Any clarification requests should clearly reference the appropriate paragraph in the ITT documentation and, to the extent possible, should be aggregated rather than sent individually.

Bidders must return their tender response via the etenderwales system by the deadline set out in the timetable at section 3.1 (Procurement Timetable). Late tender responses may, at NRW’s discretion, be discounted from further consideration.
