Description of extensions

Barcud Shared Services intends to establish an open framework scheme with a maximum duration of up to 8 years. In accordance with section 49 of the Procurement Act 2023, the scheme will be reopened at least once within the first 3 years through the award of a successive framework on substantially the same terms.

Barcud Shared Services may, at its discretion, reopen the scheme again at further intervals during its life, provided that any successive framework is awarded within 5 years of the previous award and the overall scheme does not exceed 8 years in total.
